Our Board of Directors
The ACL's Board of Directors is made up to 15 volunteers including self advocates with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) and family members of adults and children with IDD. The Board helps guide our organization by overseeing financials, reviewing spending, fundraising, and planning for the future.
Our Board also ensures the ACL stays aligned with The Arc US and focused on our mission. Board members serve on committees, attend an annual retreat, and contribute financially to the agency. Board terms last three years, and members can serve up to two terms.
The Executive Director manages ACL daily operations and provides a monthly report to the Board.
Meetings
Board meetings are open to the public and generally held on the first Tuesday of each month, 6pm-8pm. Meetings are held on Zoom.

We are a tax-exempt organization, which means we don’t pay federal taxes. Each year, we file a report with the IRS to share details about our mission, programs, and finances. This helps the IRS and the public understand how we operate.
